My Personal Thanksgivings Pt 2

I’m thankful to be employed at a good company, even if my neighbor never blesses me when I sneeze and the coffee tastes like boiled shoelaces.

I’m thankful I have never aired my dirty laundry on a talk show and shouted “Y’all don’t know me!” in something that only loosely resembles English.

I’m thankful for anyone who still reads my blog, even if the posts are infrequent and I mention Oreos too often.

I’m thankful for Oreos… just for being Oreos.

I’m thankful to be dating someone this holiday season…hey, no really, I am!

I’m thankful I didn’t break my foot when I fell off the escalator at the T station.

I’m thankful that a silly thought on my Running Wild post (http://talesofmyordinarylife.blogspot.com/2006/10/running-wild.html) inspired a Rhymes With Orange cartoon. Thanks Hilary! Check out Thursday Nov 9th!

My Personal Thanksgivings Pt 1

I’m thankful for the friends who advised me that putting a rainbow musical note sticker on my car would have been a really stupid idea. You were right.



I’m thankful that when 2 hands and adequate concentration are required of a parallel parking job, I’m smart enough to get off my cell phone and put down my latte.

I’m thankful that, unlike that lady (or man, it’s tough to tell in my neighborhood) I watched for 5 solid minutes as she inspected the contents of a parked car, I am not nosy.

I’m thankful for hummus with 40 spices…though I wish someone thought my “Well, it’s actually 39 spices + chickpea flavoring” joke was funny.

I’m thankful that no matter how bad my hair looks, it will never look as bad as Art Garfunkle’s.

Things I Never Get to Say

1. Could I see this in an extra small, please?

2. I’d like to make it a true Daily Double, Alex.

3. Well that depends -- do I have to wear the French maid outfit again?

4. Yes, they’re real…and they’re spectacular.
